Community Strategic Plan 2025-2036
Consultation has concluded
Background
The Community Strategic Plan 2025–2034 is Uralla Shire Council’s highest-level planning document, developed in partnership with the community to guide the long-term vision, priorities, and aspirations for the Shire over the next decade.
The Community Strategic Plan (CSP) is a cornerstone of the Integrated Planning and Reporting (IP&R) framework. It reflects the collective hopes of the Uralla Shire community, identifying the social, environmental, economic, and civic leadership outcomes residents want to see realised over the next 10 years. The development of the 2025–2034 Plan is based on extensive community engagement, demographic analysis, and regional trends.
Community Consultation Summary
The Community Strategic Plan 2025–2034 has been developed following a comprehensive program of community consultation, ensuring that the voices, values, and aspirations of Uralla Shire residents are at the heart of this long-term vision.
Throughout Q1 - Q2 2025, we invited input from individuals, community groups, businesses, and stakeholders across the Shire. A range of engagement methods were used to ensure broad and inclusive participation, including:
Online surveys
Pop-up stall at Uralla High Country Markets
Intercept surveys across the Shire
Targeted engagement with underrepresented voices
This feedback was analysed and used to shape the strategic priorities and outcomes contained within the Plan. Common themes the importance of community connection, protection of natural assets, improved access to services and wellbeing.
The draft Community Strategic Plan 2025–2034 is now on public exhibition until 11 June 2025, and community members are encouraged to review the document and provide any final feedback before it is adopted by Council.
