Consultation has concluded
At its Ordinary Meeting on 22 July 2025, Council resolved to place two draft Crown Land Plans of Management on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.
These Plans provide strategic frameworks for the future use, development, and responsible management of Crown reserves across the Uralla Shire. They ensure compliance with the Crown Land Management Act 2016 and the Local Government Act 1993, while aligning with Council’s broader goals for community wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and equitable access to public spaces.
The two draft Plans now on exhibition are:
1. Crown Land Plan of Management – General Community Use Reserves
This Plan applies to Crown reserves in the Uralla Shire that are categorised for general community use. It supports consistent decision-making, guides appropriate leasing and licensing, and promotes responsible management of these community assets to meet current and future needs.
2. Crown Land Plan of Management – Crown Reserve Parks
This Plan focuses on Crown reserves categorised as parks. It supports Council’s goals for public recreation, inclusive access, and environmental stewardship of parklands. It also facilitates leasing and licensing arrangements that reflect community needs and priorities.
