[CLOSED] Updated Operational Plan 2025-2026
At its Ordinary Meeting held on 23 August 2025, Council resolved to place the Updated Operational Plan 2025-2026 on public exhibition for a period of 28 days.
Uralla Shire Council has resolved to amend its 2025/2026 Operational Plan to reflect the work being undertaken to progress an application to the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) for a Special Rate Variation. These updates align with Council’s commitment to financial sustainability and support the implementation of its Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP).
The amended Operational Plan includes the following new actions:
- 4.2.1.4 – Model and adopt rate structures for 2026/2027 and onwards, including the introduction of a new Business sub-category for renewable energy development.
- 4.2.1.15 – Undertake efficiency reviews of current services provided by Council.
- 4.2.1.16 – Implement the Special Rate Variation Communication Plan to educate and engage with the community.
- 4.2.1.17 – Make an application to IPART for a Special Rate Variation based on values endorsed by Council.
- Additionally, the Uralla Shire Council Special Rate Variation Fact Sheet has been included as a dedicated narrative within the Operational Plan to provide further context and transparency.
The updated Operational Plan is now on public exhibition for a period of 28 days. Community members and ratepayers are invited to review the proposed changes and provide feedback. Submissions can be made via Council’s website, by email, or in writing to Council’s administration office.
